Jabel diamond qualities
Jabel Corporation from Irvington, New Jersey supplies 5 (five) different diamond qualities. They are referred to with internal codes of U4, U5, U6, U8 and U9. There is much confusion about these qualities, so I am going to add the clarity you may be looking for. At the bottom of this page is a comprehensive guide to color and clarity in GIA terms. Jabel’s qualities are separated as follows:
U4 = ( I ) Color, ( SI ) Clarity, and "Ideal" make ( least expensive )
U5 = (G) Color, (VS2) Clarity, and *Good* make
U6 = (G) Color, (VS2) Clarity, and “Excellent” make
U8 = (F) Color, (VS2) Clarity, and “Excellent” make
U9 = (F) Color, (VVS1) Clarity, and “Ideal” make ( most expensive )
Please don’t misunderstand the “U4” quality; it is on a scale of ten, a solid seven. Jabel starts with the least expensive diamonds that are good, and continues on to “U9” which are the best diamonds in in the world. For the most part our in-house inventory is in U4 and U5.
All Jabel products are marked with the total carat weight of the item and the quality stamp of a single number being 4, 5, 6, 8, or 9. That is the reason we can successfully sell and satisfy our e-commerce customer base. In most cases, our customers repeat time and time again. There always will be hesitation in purchasing something in this price range on line. Because of that, we are confident you will get what you ordered and there will not be an expensive mistake on our part. In the worst case scenario, we will not have the product on hand and have to order it from the factory with a general lead time of ten to twelve working days.
